The Big Emotions Thermometer gives you and your child a simple shared vocabulary to use when difficulties arise, and how they might be able to use their toolkit to independently find calm.

Module 5: 
My Bucket

The bucket strategy explains how those day-to-day niggles build up, filling our bucket until those big emotions spill over. Using this simple strategy we and our children can see the triggers which fill our buckets and the things which bring joy and drain them.

Module 6: 
SHINE

This module is all about our self-care. We are the emotional barometer for our family. When we’re OK, everyone else is OK. By observing five simple practices we can come into our day better able to manage our children’s emotional challenges and eliminate the guilt!

Module 7: 
My Day

This is a great strategy to help children reflect on their day. What made them happy, what they are looking forward to tomorrow and what mantra would be most helpful for their next day. It’s a great way to get that connection with your child at the end of their day.

Hi I’m Dr Maryhan,
An experienced Psychologist and parenting expert as well as a mother of two.

For over 20 years I have been supporting children, teens, and young adults struggling with low confidence and anxiety.

You might think my role involves a lot of telling people what to do, that I have a magic route map for success and happiness. However, what I have become surer of over the years is that the right route map differs wildly from one family to another.

My job is all about helping families create their own bespoke toolkit of practical tools and strategies, moving their child from angst to courage, so everyone feels confident, calm, and connected.
